HR and Admin Officer – Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) – New Delhi

(CHAI) is a global health organization committed to saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low-and middle-income countries, while strengthening the capabilities of governments and the private sector in those countries to create and sustain high-quality health systems that can succeed without our assistance. In India, CHAI has worked on various initiatives with the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and has served over 350,000 people in the country, including children, mothers and caregivers since 2004. CHAI today support myriad programs, both at the State and Central levels, across nutrition, child health, immunization, pneumonia/diarrhea, tuberculosis and HIV etc.

The Joint Effort for Eliminating TB (JEET) project aims to set-up effective and sustainable structures to strengthen existing systems and seamlessly extend quality of TB care to patients seeking care in private sector. To this effect, CHAI will set up Patient Provider Support Agencies (PPSA) in 9 cities to provide continuous, end-to-end engagement of private sector to provide quality TB services to patients seeking care in private sector.

Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the project as HR and Admin Officer to support in the people management activities:

Recruitment: Manage all aspects of recruitment process including, but not limited to:
o Support the Project Lead with the development of Job Descriptions

o Provide consistent communication to hiring teams and candidates on the position’s status throughout the recruitment process

o Screen applicants to assess qualifications and conduct initial behavioural interview to generate candidate recommendations for respective hiring teams

o Build external networks and relationships which will help in getting the right candidates to ensure 98% staffing levels at all times

o Work collaboratively with hiring teams to determine appropriate and equitable offer terms. Extend both verbal and written offers, confirm finalized terms with candidates

o Address compensation related questions

Onboarding
o Ensure seamless onboarding process for geographically distributed team members

HR Systems
o Maintain an effective HR filing system

o Develop/improve systems and processes for effective management of Vendor HR functions for outsourced employees

o To provide support on HR aspects to the programmes as and when required

Qualifications
Post graduate in HRM or Personnel Management from a reputed institute with minimum of 5-7 years proven HR Experience
Excellent communication and people management skills for stakeholder management
Ability to organize, plan, and priorities work
Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
Initiative and willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges
Willingness to travel if required and at short notice
