Based on the premise that business oriented strategy can facilitate solutions to global health challenges, CHAI acts as a catalyst to mobilize new resources and optimize the impact of these resources to save lives, via improved organization of commodity markets and more effective local management. By working in association with governments and other NGO partners, CHAI is focused on large scale impact and, to date, CHAI has secured lower pricing agreements for treatment options in more than 70 countries. In addition, CHAI’s teams are working side-by-side with over 30 governments to tackle many of the largest barriers to effective treatment and care.

 Responsibilities

The HIV program is looking for a Senior Analyst who can shoulder the dual responsibilities of working closely with the Program Manager on project strategy and leading a significant part of the program’s on-the-ground implementation. The Senior Analyst would be involved in defining our strategy and outputs, developing clear operational plans, and continually identifying opportunities for CHAI to add value and maximize impact. The Senior Analyst will interface heavily with stakeholders, including MoH leadership, health providers, and other NGOs, to ensure smooth progress of the program.

The role will require an entrepreneurial mind set and a high level of self-motivation. A dynamic, energetic person with exceptional people skills and experience working in group environments would make for a strong candidate.

Manage project-wide outputs related to reporting, compliance and updates

  • Design and lead the execution of a comprehensive work-plan in line with Program objectives for their respective state
  • Lead the development of innovative approaches and tools as well as manage documentation on program impact
  • Design, pilot and evaluate key interventions in collaboration with the National AIDS Control Organization
  • Liaise with CHAI’s global teams regarding information about new HIV treatment drugs and assist with in-country technical or operational evaluations or new product roll-out strategies to improve uptake of new products as they become available
  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the government, international partners, donors and NGOs, and ensure maximum coordination of resources and effort
  • Disseminate information from CHAI and other sources on supply dynamics and access-to-drugs to relevant stakeholders
  • Build capacity on forecasting and quantification of pediatric ARV drugs and other commodities in order to avoid stock-outs, reduce waste and minimize costs
  • Support NACO for development and maintenance of high quality data management systems; Design and implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems to measure the impact of HIV testing and treatment
 Qualifications
  • MPA, MBA or other relevant professional degree plus 3-5 years work experience; or Bachelor’s degree with exceptional work experience
  • Experience managing a team and working with the government is highly preferred
  • Experience in working for a management consulting firm or investment bank is preferred
  • Experience in conceiving, planning and executing programs or projects with verifiable results and little external support
  • Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) skills and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Experience in the planning and execution of large scale projects, including budgeting and activity planning
  • Experience structuring and leading evidence-based decision making processes
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Willingness to travel if required and at short notice
  • Fluency in English and Hindi
